I’m thrilled to share some exciting news.

I’ve joined the team at the award-winning Charity Retail Consultancy as their newest Charity Retail Coach, bringing together two of my greatest passions – charity retail and coaching mission-driven leaders.

My love of the pre-loved

My love affair with charity shops started in my teens, hunting through the shops, flea markets and boot sales of South London. Today, you’ll rarely find me in a totally brand-new outfit.

There is something truly special about wearing something pre-loved. Knowing every buy supports a cause and isn’t adding to the crazy waste of fast fashion.

And all those fabulous homeware finds. The books, prints and other delights I’ve picked up over the years, Such a joy!

When I spoke at the 2024 Charity Retail Conference, leading a workshop on ‘The F Word: How to bring fun into the charity retail workplace’ it felt like a real highlight. It was wonderful to connect with so many passionate charity retail professionals.

Why now?

The charity retail sector is at such an exhilarating point. With sustainability becoming mainstream and the cost-of-living crisis making second-hand even more appealing, charity retail really is where it’s at.

It’s also facing challenges like never before – from recruiting and retaining fabulous volunteers to coping with rising operational costs.

Since launching Be The Change in 2011, I’ve supported hundreds of mission-driven leaders to thrive in their work and I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to support even more wonderful people in charity retail.

My coaching style is warm, playful and practical – and my approach is simple: happier people create better results.

What kind of results would you like to see?

  • Managing your time and energy because you’re not far off burnout?
  • Stepping up with ease into Director or Head of role?
  • Kicking off a new fashion-brand collaboration with confidence?
  • Building rock-solid delegation or ‘tricky’ conversation skills so you can focus on the bigger picture?
  • Bringing your team with you when there is big change on the horizon.

We can tackle these and more in our coaching.

‘Short Burst’ 1-1 Coaching offer

To celebrate my new collaboration, I’ve created an introductory coaching offer for people working in charity retail at all levels who could do with a ‘critical friend’ on a particular issue.

This four-week programme includes:

  • One 50-minute Zoom coaching session to set you a motivating goal
  • Weekly 15-minute ‘Critical Comrade’ calls for extra coaching and support
  • Ongoing emailing between sessions to keep you moving forward with confidence.

Your investment: ยฃ400

I’m also offering 20% off all my longer-term coaching programmes for charity retailers.
